Project Manager
Job Summary:

Food Tech Project Managers control the design-build delivery method used on our food industry related projects. Our Project Managers are our client?s day-to-day contact and the liaison between our on-site Construction Managers and our internal design staff or architects and engineers. Our Project Managers endeavor to complete our projects on schedule, within budget, and with quality exceeding our client?s expectations. Rate sustainable construction practices. Above all, project managers aim for the highest safety standards on every project.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project setup.

  • Establish project schedule; including design, permitting, procurement, shop drawing/submittal and construction phases.

  • Attend design review meetings and ensure owner?s expectations are incorporated.

  • Review project documents and goals.

  • Review drawings for cost, scope, coordination and constructability.

  • Review bid documents prepared by design staff.

  • Review subcontractor bids with design staff.

  • Oversee design staff?s preparation of bid analysis and bid summaries.

  • Establish cost control during buyout.

  • Assist design staff with obtaining permits.

  • Assist construction managers with field setup/organization at project kick-off.

  • Draft subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders.

  • Attend on-site project review meetings with subcontractors and owner representatives.

  • Assist construction manager with permit authority inspections.

  • Inform construction manager of pending design revisions.

  • Keep the owner up-to-date on cost, schedule, potential issues, etc.

  • Inform the design team of owner and/or field changes.

  • Review owner billings and monitor payments.

  • Approve subcontractor payment applications.

  • Review budget versus cost on a regular basis and forecast project cost at completion.

  • Assist construction manager with obtaining certificate of occupancy.

  • Assist construction manager and design team with preparation and management of punch lists.

  • Assist project administrative project manager with close-out documents.

  • Address project warranty issues during warranty period.


Food Tech is looking for strong leaders with 5+ years of construction project management experience in a design-build environment. Industrial construction experience required; experience with food distribution and food process/manufacturing projects ideal. A bachelor?s degree in a construction-related field is desired, but equivalent work experience is acceptable. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
