Inside Sales Account Manager

DESCRIPTION

DUTIES
Respond to calls and emails from military/government customers requiring supply chain solutions.
Must provide excellent customer service and respond to requests immediately.
Successful candidate will be highly organized and able to demonstrate a track record of great follow-through.
Should be able to develop excellent relationships with customer base while still managing a high volume of processing activities.
Partner with outside sales counterpart(s) to create revenue (No travel required of inside reps.).
Must be resourceful able to work well with limited direction in a dynamic environment.
Expected to make sales calls to customers and prospects.
Responsible for expanding existing accounts, prospecting to identify new customers/contacts within assigned territory, and cold calling where required.
Required to research items, quote products to customer base, close sales, and provide frequent customer shipment status updates.
Successful candidate will be able to rapidly learn about our wide array of products, contracts, and supply chain solutions in order to effectively advise customers on best available courses of action (Relevant training provided).
Responsible for territory accountability and pipeline management.
Responsible for assisting clients with selection of appropriate funding, contract vehicles, and supply chain options.
HOURS: 8 to 5 on the phone and email contacting customers, but extended hours may be necessary when customer needs arise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of sales experience within a non-retail/non-call center environment OR equivalent professional Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations experience.
2+ years of experience in a highly competitive, SOLUTION SELLING environment STRONGLY PREFERRED.
Prior experience structuring product pricing and deal strategy is an asset.
2+ years of experience MS Office, particularly Excel & Outlook.
Bachelor's Degree prior Military Service OR Government Sales experience may be substituted at the hiring managers discretion.

Knowledge of tactical equipment, military/federal agencies, and/or government contracting a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
